My family has been through a lot this year, so I think they deserve some truly amazing holiday gifts. I’ve had a lot of time to consider what will most surprise them; here’s what I’ve settled on.
A Simulated Aquarium
I came across this incredible invention online and couldn’t believe my eyes. There seemed to be fifty aquatic creatures in a tiny tank—jellyfish, miniature sharks, and schools of guppies included—but no matter how real they all looked; they’d been artificially added with LED lights.
I want to put one of these cool little gadgets on my nightstand so that my wife and I will be able to relax and fall asleep quicker. Alternatively, I could put it in one of my kids’ bedrooms.
The best part of a simulated aquarium, in my opinion, is that there’s no maintenance required; I won’t even have to change the water in the tank!
New Gaming Equipment for My Son
Back in June, my son complained about our slow Internet connection. I’m not very tech savvy, so I asked him what I should do to fix the issue, and he recommended a new router that can handle more devices. He constantly plays his PlayStation 5, too, so I’m going to get him a new custom controller!
His real surprise this year, though, is the Oculus Quest 2. He has been talking about VR gaming so much lately that I figured I might as well bite the bullet and get him his own console. He could even make some new friends online, which would be great, because he hasn’t had much of a chance to meet new people since the pandemic began.
Only the Best Jewelry for My Wife
For my wife, I’ve had my eye on a gorgeous set of dangle earrings that would perfectly complement her features.
When we were first engaged, I made hardly any money, and could only afford a cubic zirconia ring. This year, though, I want to get that ring cleaned and polished, and to have the gem replaced with a real diamond. She’ll be absolutely floored when she sees it sparkle in the light!
Lastly, because of how hard she works, I’m going to get her a massage chair for total relaxation after a long day!
Taking Everyone Out to Eat
Every Christmas, I take my family to our favorite restaurant, and this year will be no exception. Afterward, I’ll bring them to a light show in town, or to the local park; we’ll have to play it by ear!
When we get home, we’ll have to watch a good, old-fashioned Christmas movie. My personal favorite is “A Christmas Story.” That ‘You’ll shoot your eye out, kid!’ gets me every time!
I Deserve to Treat Myself, Too
I’m more than willing to buy my loved ones all of these things, but I can’t forget to treat myself, as well!
I will, of course, buy myself some new clothes and shoes—maybe even a Gucci belt—but I’m also going to get some new golfing equipment to better enjoy the green.
Most importantly, I’m going to schedule a facelift. I’m starting to look older than I am, and there doesn’t seem to be anything I can do about it other than get cosmetic treatment.
Aside from making me look younger, the facelift will improve my self-image and allow me to lead my business with a newfound confidence. I simply want to look my best, more youthful and vibrant, and this surgery will definitely help; it’ll feel so much better to be around family, friends, and employees!
The moral of the story? Take care of others, but never forget to take care of yourself!
This Will Be the Best Christmas Yet
I have high hopes for this Christmas—I’m going to surprise my wife and kids with the most impressive array of gifts they’ve ever seen, and I can’t wait to see their faces explode with joy! They mean the world to me, and nothing feels better than pleasing them.
Who knows—maybe this’ll be the best Christmas we’ve ever had!
